Representation is a method of translation; to carry across from one place to another. There are infinite methods to achieve effective representation regardless of what the Planning Department says.
ArchDaily recently featured the Hillside House by SB Architects. The house's selling point of LEED Platinum grafted with 'high design' is much less impressive than the sharp contrast between methods of representation.
This rendered elevation is binary. I give it a D-.
This rendered section is less a blunder of tooling and craft and can now address other issues (like site and scale).
The Hillside House was completed in 2010. The rendered elevation is representational injustice to the completed building. Say 'no to bad representation.
