Mount Rushmore was originally conceived as a tourist attraction for the state of South Dakota. Today it attracts an estimated 2 million people annually (Niagara Falls pulls about 12 million). If you ever decide to visit this 'memorial' try to take a route that goes through the Black Hills. This will make the trip more thrilling. Otherwise prepare yourself for the obvious... a vista point view of faces carved in rock.
It is no wonder Land Artists had a lot to talk about during the 60's.
Daniel Nissimov [resume] holds a Bachelor of Architecture with a Minor in Art History, cum laude. At the University of Michigan, he received a Master of Science in Architecture by completing his thesis titled Slaughterhouse Synaesthesia.
