A traveling rule of thumb I live by is to make enduring and personal relationships with people and places. Generally this can be seen as the antithesis of the short term excitement of being a tourist.
Now I am back in Southern California briefly before I journey across the U.S. to Michigan. In a 'keeping in touch' frenzy I manged to eat out five times in three days demonstrating how truly diverse and spread out Los Angeles is.
Gingergrass in Silver Lake
Otomisan in Highland Park
Wustkuche in Los Angeles
La Bamba in Burbank
Daniel's Tacos in Sun Valley
